How Adoption Works
Follow these three simple steps to adopt a family today:
Browse available families through our secure adoption portal. Each family listing includes the number of children, age range, and general wishlist themes while maintaining privacy.
Once you’ve adopted a family, follow the provided guidelines or wishlist suggestions to shop for thoughtful, age-appropriate gifts.
You can find the wishlist of your adopted family, the number of children and more, all on your shoppers dashboard!

Bring your wrapped or unwrapped gifts to our designated donation location in Jackson Hole by the specified date.

By adopting a family, you’ll receive a wish list for children in need and provide them with thoughtful, much-needed gifts. This is your chance to create lasting memories for local families facing economic hardship or crisis.

Please coordinate with a friend to drop your gifts on drop day. If you are unable to coordinate with a friend, please email [email protected] to coordinate a different plan.
Please notify Santa Claus Fund as soon as possible via email [email protected] and notify the elves at dropoff as well.
If the family requests gifts to be wrapped (which will be mentioned in the notes when you adopt a family), please do so. Please attach gift tags to each gift and include the child’s name and family number (ex. Robin, #128). All gifts should be in a box or bag with the family number clearly marked on all sides.
If you cannot find the exact gift requested, please try to find the closest equivalent.
Parents have been given a budget per child and asked to rank the gift requests in order of preference. The goal is to get as close to the budget as possible, use your discretion to buy appropriate gifts.
